safaris limited is a registered and licensed tour operator in
Zanzibar.
The Safina has a high level of experience in the tourism sector, having been
engaged in both national and international tourism for more than ten years.
SAFINA currently owns and
manages ten vehicles, including minibuses, buses and other types of
vehicles, which are used for transfers and excursions for our clients
through out the Zanzibar archipelago. Safina prides it self on designing its
own tours and excursions, rather than follow traditional tourist trails. As
a result our excursions and tours permit our clients to see historical
and cultural sites that have never been explored by the other Zanzibar
Companies.
The word "SAFINA" is the
Swahili for dhow. The wooden dhows have been used for a long time in the
coastal waters of East Africa to trade all over the world, particularly when
Zanzibar was the commercial center of East, central & sub
Saharan Africa.
The word SAFINA has therefore great meaning, which symbolizes the
economic and cultural life of Zanzibar. The name of the company has been
carefully selected and it represents the commitments by the management of
the company to make clients aware of the true Zanzibari and Tanzanian
culture.
