Changuu — usually called Prison Island — was built as a prison, used as a quarantine station, and is now home to a sanctuary of Aldabra giant tortoises, some of them well over a century old.
Your guide walks you through the island's history, then leaves you time to feed the tortoises, swim off the small beach and snorkel over the reef edge.
